Founder / CEO

Avishkar Sabharwal is the Founder and CEO of Satya Carbon, a specialized carbon platform focused on bringing greater transparency, discipline, and trust to the carbon market. As a physician, he brings an evidence-based mindset to carbon finance—applying clinical-style rigor, structured analysis, and risk assessment to a market often challenged by fragmentation, opacity, and inconsistent quality. At Satya Carbon, he leads the firm’s strategy to connect high-integrity project developers with institutional buyers through rigorous diligence, portfolio aggregation, and risk-managed transaction structures. His background in medicine, capital raising, and real estate investment gives him a unique ability to evaluate complex opportunities through both scientific and financial lenses. Recognizing the need for more credible, bankable carbon credit transactions, he founded Satya Carbon to help transform environmental assets into institutionally viable opportunities and to support the flow of capital to impactful climate projects.

Rajat Anand

Rajat Anand is a seasoned technology and business leader with 20+ years of experience partnering with Fortune 50 organizations to deliver complex, enterprise-scale solutions. He has led cross-functional teams across geographies, bridging strategy and execution to drive measurable business outcomes. As CTO, Rajat oversees Satya Carbon’s technology vision and platform execution—translating business objectives into scalable architecture, reliable engineering delivery, and secure, well-governed systems. He brings hands-on technical depth across the full solution lifecycle, from systems design and development oversight to stakeholder alignment and global program coordination. A technologist at heart, he combines analytical rigor with practical business acumen, continuously exploring emerging platforms to build and optimize future-ready products.

Alonzo Guzman

Head of Sales

Alonzo Guzman is a seasoned medical-industry sales executive with 30+ years of progressive leadership across sales management, operations, and marketing. As Head of Sales, he provides strategic direction for national and international sales initiatives—building high-performing teams, strengthening sales infrastructure, and driving sustainable revenue growth through long-term customer partnerships and value-based solutions. His experience spans multi-state account management, disciplined execution, and close collaboration with healthcare professionals to deliver tailored outcomes. Recognized for performance with consecutive TSP honors and top sales representative awards, Alonzo is bilingual in English and Spanish and brings a results-driven, relationship-first approach to every engagement.

Daniel Astle

CFO

Daniel Astle, EA, is the CFO of Satya Carbon and a finance leader with 25+ years of experience across accounting, financial planning, and business management. He spent a decade as a Senior Financial Analyst at Avitus Group, building budgets and decision-ready financial reporting across multiple standalone business lines and helping support the company’s growth into one of the largest PEOs in the U.S. An operator as well as an analyst, Dan also owned and ran a printing and marketing company for more than 10 years and has served as a fractional CFO for operating businesses, bringing practical cash-flow discipline, forecasting, and KPI-driven execution as Satya Carbon scales.

Fernando Mascarenhas

COO

Fernando Mascarenhas is an Operations & Turnaround Specialist and Fractional COO with 20+ years of experience leading operational and financial overhauls across sectors, including real estate, renewable energy, e-commerce, technology, and family offices. He has served as project leader or co-advisor on initiatives with nearly US$300MM in combined CAPEX, including the operational and financial implementation of a 108-MW wind farm, large-scale PPP-related infrastructure work, cross-border market entry for an e-commerce company, and enterprise-wide ops/finance transformations for technology businesses. Prior to his advisory work, Fernando held senior roles in structured finance and project finance, leading teams on PPPs, valuations, financial modeling, and debt/equity solutions. At Satya Carbon, he brings this blend of execution rigor and finance discipline to strengthen the operating model, improve KPI-driven performance, and support scalable growth.

Gary Sumihiro is the CEO of Sumihiro Investment and a global strategic advisor with over 25 years of international experience across 30 countries. He has held senior roles as attorney, General Counsel, COO, President, and board member of major corporations, guiding startups, restructurings, cross-border transactions, and government relations. Gary has led projects ranging from IPOs, acquisitions, and joint ventures to clean technology, real estate, and foreign investment in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, telecom, and energy. Previously, as General Counsel and Head of Policy at CDP, she advised boards and executives at the intersection of climate data, disclosure, and policy—overseeing major investor and supply chain programs, public-sector initiatives, and key partnerships, including the Science Based Targets initiative. Jeffrey Barton

Jeffrey Barton is a senior legal and compliance executive and strategic advisor with 15+ years of experience across venture capital, broker-dealers, RIAs, and alternative investment platforms. He has helped investment sponsors structure and launch complex private investment products, including a $1.35B growth-stage venture capital fund and a $500M non-traded REIT. He has led the formation and registration of broker-dealers, RIAs, and Alternative Trading Systems (ATS). Previously, he served as Chief Legal and Compliance Officer for a multi-country VC firm/RIA, led compliance for a global self-clearing broker-dealer and RIA supporting a 5,000+ advisor sales force, and held senior AML/compliance leadership roles across real estate investment, insurance-affiliated broker-dealer, and trust/retirement platforms. IP Counsel

Craig Mueller is an experienced intellectual property attorney and Chair of his firm’s Mechanical Patent Practice Group. His practice focuses on patent prosecution across mechanical, aerospace, electro-mechanical, civil, software, and design technologies, along with trademarks and copyrights. He advises clients on IP protection strategy and foreign filings, drafts patentability and freedom-to-operate opinions, analyzes domestic and international patent landscapes, oversees patent searches, and negotiates technology-related agreements. Before law, Craig was a senior engineer at Lockheed Martin Space Systems working on the Atlas V launch vehicle propulsion feed systems, and a research assistant at Georgia Tech’s Aerospace Systems Design Lab leading a NASA-sponsored next-generation aircraft design team. He is a frequent speaker and published author on patent and design patent topics, and has been recognized by Super Lawyers (Colorado) and The Best Lawyers in America®.
